Two-Step Garage / Speed Garage / House / Rave
After three seasons in Ibiza, DJing regularly at The Zoo Project, Sankeys and Eden, Zac returned to the North East of England in high demand. Since 2012, he has played for the likes of Motion (Digital, Newcastle), Middlesbrough institution Riff Raff, Loop, Kasula, and Idiosync in Manchester.
In 2014, he began a residency with Newcastle’s emerging house and techno night Octave at the Cosmic Ballroom, where he went on to support artists including Desolat’s Martin Buttrich and Fuse London’s Rossko. A long-standing presence at The Zoo Project, Zac has shared line-ups with Monika Kruse, Dana Ruh, Tuccillo, Dense & Pika, Ralph Lawson, Terry Francis, among others.
More recently, Stanton’s sound has shifted towards a UKG-leaning approach. He released his debut track, Stop Tellin Me, on Instinct (UK), Burnski’s respected garage imprint. Supported by DJs such as Burnski, Fabe, Kepler, Rossko and Seb Zito, the soulful two-step cut marked a clear step forward in his evolution as a DJ and producer.
Building on this momentum, Stanton is increasingly recognised as a rising DJ/producer within two-step garage, speed garage, house and rave-informed sounds. He has released three EPs alongside Seb Zito on Zito’s Seven Dials imprint — Out My Head, One Nation and Act 2 — and followed this with the You Might Like It EP on Do As You Please, receiving support from Hannah Holland, Tañ, Jelsen, Shimrise and Marco Carola.
