Rolling into their 6th year, Manchester’s Do As You Please welcome back brand-head, Joe Roche, for his first EP since 2022.

Life since lockdown has seen Roche performing 150 gigs per year at home and abroad. Alongside supporting the Manchester DJ scene through his work with Reform Radio, and hosting regular events across the city, Joe has been working quietly on redefining his sound.

The first instalment comes in the form of DAYP:003, named after a new member of the DAYP family - Chunks the Maine Coon cat.

Chonk EP delivers a tasteful yet familiar sound palate, spanning peak-time main room to summertime terrace, exhibiting Roche’s signature sound design, versatility and fun-loving approach to house music.

Let’s Go maintains Joe’s anthemic, 90s infused production style, delivering blistering 909 drums, classic house piano and Detroit vocals. Chonk explores a blend of acid house, garage and electro, with focus on playful sound design and a mischievous disposition. The third track, Serious delivers an accessible and timeless deep house vibe, suitable for parties day and night. Finally, More Monie is a DC10 terrace ready, hip-house groover.

Over a year in the making, a strong offering from the returning producer.
